Being sincere on the things we write can go a long way. Even if we use the most basic vocabulary out there, if we mean what we say, then the message we want to convey will reach the readers who need to hear it.
Let us not try to write to please other people. We really won’t succeed into doing that, because no matter what, we really cannot have everyone’s approval. Instead of trying to look good; instead of conjuring up characters that are so close to being flawless, why not challenge the norms in the fanfiction world and go for someone who is imperfect?
I suppose one of the joys I find in writing is that even readers grow with the characters. It’s a blessing, really.
